Cross Creek Ranch is this gorgeous property in Dade City that is really every photographers dream when it comes to barn venues. One exception…when it rains.

That is not how Kristin & George pictured their wedding day but we are in Florida and you never know what Mother Nature is going to throw at you. Don’t you wish we had a crystal ball to know what the weather is going to be when you pick your wedding date? That would be amazing!

Krissy started getting ready in the main house and then moved over to the cottage to get into her dress. Having her mom, grandma and aunts at her side, Krissy had a more “laid back” getting ready while George and the guys had a few drinks in the Hideaway Cottage.

Hoping for an outside ceremony, as the ceremony time got closer, we knew it probably wasn’t going to happen. The rain had started about 2 hours before ceremony so the normal outside ceremony spot was a little saturated.

Men are usually the tough “I’m getting married, I’m fine” type so seeing George emotional before the ceremony made my heart explode. Then to top it all off, when he saw Krissy coming down the aisle, it was even better.

The colors were a warm welcome with a mixture of spring and autumn greenery and then the accents of fruits? It’s definitely not a decor that you see all the time and everything tied in together perfectly.

There wasn’t an empty spot on the dace floor once Lou (the DJ) opened up the dance floor.

I normally don’t include family formals in a blog post but the look with Krissy’s grandma and George was just too precious to not include it.

It stopped raining long enough for us to head outside and grab formals. The girls grabbed their jean jackets and umbrellas while the guys had a little fun.

Congratulations to Krissy & George! Make sure to give some of these vendors some love because it was definitely a day!
