In the end of 2019, I decided to “retire” from shooting weddings. My son plays hockey, I was missing games, tournaments, etc and didn’t want that to happen anymore. Well, in the beginning of 2021, I decided that it was time to head back into the game and in all honesty, what better couple to jump back into it than with Heather & Woody.

I’ve known Heather for a few years, she was the best woman and a wedding I had shot so when she asked me if I was still shooting, I immediately said yes! Heather is gorgeous on the inside and out, she’s funny, down to earth but she’ll side eye you in a heart beat so technically she’s a woman after my own heart.

They’re getting married on the beach so I suggested to them that they go totally opposite with their engagement session (future brides, take that as a mental note). We headed to the Central District in downtown St. Pete. There is such a variety of scenes, backgrounds, you name it, that you can get so many different looks in just a few blocks.

With an outfit change in the middle of their session, Woody has pelican’s on his shirt (just had to point that out lol), they nailed it. Their fun-loving relationship, the banter they have between each other, made them so easy to shoot.

Can’t wait until next spring for their wedding Bilmar Beach Resort! Until then….enjoy!
